ABOUT THE ROLE

As Agent Operations Lead, you’ll build and lead a team responsible for deploying and improving AI agents that handle complex healthcare workflows. You’ll own your team’s delivery from customer discovery through launch and ongoing optimization, ensuring implementations are fast, reliable, and increasingly automated.

This is a hands-on, player-coach role. You’ll work alongside your team on complex technical and operational challenges, coach and develop teammates, and establish the standards and practices that help your team deliver consistently. Your work will directly impact customer outcomes, time to value, and Valerie’s ability to grow and scale efficiently.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Build and lead a team. Hire exceptional talent, coach teammates through complex work, and establish clear expectations and standards.

- Own agent delivery from discovery through launch. Translate customer needs into agent behavior, align customers and internal teams on scope and timelines, and drive workflow design, code development, testing, and troubleshooting.

- Optimize agents after launch. Use performance data to identify where agents fall short, prioritize improvements, and reduce manual work while protecting quality and customer trust.

- Drive cross-functional execution. Partner with Customer Strategy, Engineering, and Operations to align priorities, resolve dependencies, and escalate for support as needed.

- Make implementation and automation repeatable. Turn lessons from launches and ongoing optimization into reusable workflows, tests, tools, and practices that help your team deliver faster and more reliably.

WHAT YOU BRING

- Relevant experience. 6+ years in consulting, strategy & operations, product, technical implementation, analytics, or finance, including experience at a high-growth startup.

- Team leadership. You’ve led people or complex projects, coached teammates, and held a high bar for results.

- Customer partnership. You uncover requirements, explain technical concepts clearly, and set expectations while earning customer trust.

- Hands-on technical ability. You’re comfortable working with code, APIs, and data, using AI coding tools to build and troubleshoot workflows, and assessing when Engineering support is needed. A software engineering background is helpful but not required.

- Analytical rigor and execution. You bring structure to ambiguous work, get to the root of problems, and use evidence to prioritize and deliver improvements across technical and nontechnical teams.

BONUS POINTS

- Experience deploying or improving AI agents at scale.

- Experience at a top-tier consulting firm.

- Familiarity with healthcare operations, EHRs, or healthcare integrations.

WHAT WE OFFER

- Meaningful ownership at a rapidly scaling, AI-native startup helping healthcare providers deliver a better patient experience.

- Competitive salary, equity and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and flexible PTO

- SF Office: Daily catered lunch and dinner reimbursement
