The Pearson Clinical Field Research team is responsible for collecting research data in support of product development for the Pearson Clinical business. Pearson Field Research contracts with Psychologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and other such professionals to function as examiners who identify potential candidates, administer the assessments, and return the results back to Pearson.

About the Role

This position within Field Research will support examiners, improve operational processes, and help keep research projects moving smoothly from setup through completion.

This role is the primary point of ownership for examiner technology support, including iPad management, digital testing readiness, and troubleshooting. The position also supports test processing, scoring operations, examiner payments, inventory management, project execution, and process improvement across Field Research.

We are looking for an operations-minded problem solver who enjoys supporting people, improving workflows, and using technology, automation, and AI to help the team work more effectively. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative team environment, builds strong working relationships across functions, and can also work independently to manage priorities, solve problems, and drive initiatives forward with minimal supervision.

What You'll Do

Serve as the primary point of contact for examiner iPad setup, digital testing support, and technical troubleshooting.

Manage device inventory, deployment, recovery, maintenance, and supporting records.

Create clear job aids, training resources, and troubleshooting documentation for examiners.

Partner with internal teams to identify, escalate, track, and resolve technology issues.

Field Research Operations

Support test processing, scoring coordination, examiner payments, inventory management, project tracking, and other operational activities.

Provide flexible support across workstreams during peak periods, special projects, and changing business needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support accurate, timely, and efficient project execution.

Process Improvement & Innovation

Identify recurring problems, process gaps, and opportunities to simplify work, improve quality, and reduce manual effort.

Develop and maintain workflows, procedures, process maps, and standard work documentation.

Help evaluate and implement new tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that improve the examiner and employee experience.

Use data and operational insights to recommend practical, scalable process improvements.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, information systems, educational technology, project management, psychology, research, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in operations, project coordination, customer support, technical support, or a related field.

Strong operational problem-solving, critical-thinking, and process improvement skills.

Excellent organization, communication, customer service, and follow-through.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and SharePoint.

This position is based in the local office and requires regular onsite presence. The role may require working onsite between 50% and 100% of the time, depending on business and operational needs. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.

Preferred

Experience supporting iPads, mobile devices, digital platforms, or remote users.

Experience improving workflows or creating procedures, job aids, and training materials.

Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to identify practical uses for AI in operations, documentation, analysis, or customer support.

Experience in educational testing, assessment, research, field operations, inventory, or logistics.
