Job Summary
The Associate Director, Marketing will own the pre-launch brand foundation for cemsidomide: market definition, positioning, and early launch planning in multiple myeloma. You will work hands-on, translating clinical data into a clear strategic story and partnering closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, and Corporate Communications. As cemsidomide is investigational, all external activity will be non-promotional and compliant with pre-approval guidelines.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone equally comfortable designing a marketing campaign and running a physician advisory board to get in on the ground level of our commercial build out at C4T. Your skills and passion for this space will allow you to have a front row seat to see what it looks like to build out a commercial function at a small life sciences company as one of our first dedicated commercial hires.
Your Role
Messaging Development
Lead development of disease-state and messaging for multiple myeloma, translating clinical data into clear, compliant narratives.
Run message testing with hematologist-oncologists, community oncologists, and other customers; refine messages as data mature.
Build and maintain the core messaging platform and ensure consistent use across venues and audiences.
Take materials through Medical/Legal/Regulatory review with a clear grasp of pre-approval compliance.
Agency of Record (AOR) Selection and Onboarding
Lead the search for C4T's first marketing AOR: define requirements, build the RFP, run pitches, and recommend a partner.
Onboard the selected agency: brief them on the disease area, science, and compliance expectations; set up ways of working, review cadence, and scopes of work.
Manage the agency day to day, including budgets, timelines, and quality of deliverables.
Advisory Boards
Plan and run advisory boards with KOLs and community physicians, in partnership with Medical Affairs, to gather customer insights.
Set objectives, design discussion guides, select participants, and manage logistics with vendors.
Synthesize findings into clear recommendations and share them with cross-functional and senior leadership.
Competitive Intelligence
Track the MM landscape, including next-generation IKZF1/3 degraders, BCMA- and GPRC5D-directed bispecifics, CAR-T, and anti-CD38 regimens.
Lead congress coverage and competitive readouts at key meetings.
Deliver regular competitive intelligence updates and assess implications for Cemsidomide's development and messaging.
Congress Booth Presence
Own C4T's corporate and disease-awareness booth presence at major hematology and oncology congresses.
Lead booth concept, design, and content with the AOR, medical affairs and exhibit vendors, ensuring all content is non-promotional and approved.
Manage booth logistics, staffing, budget, and post-congress performance reviews.
Your Background
Required:
A Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, business, or a related field with a minimum of eight years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology space, including at least five years in product or brand marketing, including oncology marketing experience.
Hands-on experience turning corporate and departmental strategy into marketing execution with a strong sense of independence.
Working knowledge of pre-approval compliance and the Medical/Legal/Regulatory review process.
Ability to read and communicate clinical trial data with accuracy and confidence.
Preferred
MBA or advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MS).
Hematologic malignancies experience strong preferred, including multiple myeloma experience, ideally on a launch or pre-launch team.
Experience at a small or emerging biotech building processes from scratch.
Familiarity with the healthcare professional community
