Get to Know Us
Horizon3 is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company dedicated to the mission of enabling organizations to proactively find and fix and verify exploitable attack vectors before criminals exploit them. Our flagship product, the NodeZeroTM platform, delivers production-safe autonomous pentests and other key assessment operations that scale across the largest internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments. NodeZero has been adopted by organizations of all sizes, from small educational institutions to government agencies and Global 100 enterprises. It is used by ITOps/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and MSSPs and MSPs.
We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We're committed to helping solve our common security problems: ineffective security tools, false positives resulting in alert fatigue, blind spots, "checkbox” security culture, cybersecurity skills shortage, and the long lead time and expense of hiring outside consultants. Collectively, we are a team of learn it alls, committed to a culture of respect, collaboration, ownership, and results.
Horizon3 is in search of a dynamic Product Manager (PM) to own and accelerate NodeZero's compliance and reporting capabilities — the layer that turns autonomous penetration testing results into audit-ready evidence and executive-ready narrative. As enterprises adopt NodeZero to satisfy SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST CSF/800-53, and FedRAMP/CMMC obligations, this PM owns the product surface where attack results become compliance proof — for security practitioners, auditors, and the C-suite.
As a PM focused on Compliance & Reporting, you'll use your GRC fluency and product craft to make NodeZero the system of record enterprises trust for audit-ready evidence — across every op type (Internal, External, Cloud, WebApp). You'll partner closely with Engineering, GTM, and Executives, own the compliance-mapping and reporting roadmap, and turn the highest-friction renewal and audit blockers into shipped product.
This role will report to the Sr. Manager of our offensive security product suite and take a leadership role in making compliance and reporting a differentiated, horizontal capability across NodeZero.
Responsibilities:
Run Compliance & Reporting as a Business
Be the CEO of the compliance and reporting product: own its vision, strategy, and priorities, and take accountability for customer outcomes, execution, and commercial success
Own financial performance: set ARR, upgrade, and retention targets tied to compliance-led deals and renewals, and partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to identify and deliver against them
Build and maintain the business plan: which regulated segments and frameworks to invest in, in what order, based on deal signal, revenue potential, and return on investment
Drive pricing, packaging, and monetization for compliance and reporting capability, including clear upgrade paths that support acquisition in regulated industries and expansion in the installed base
Define success metrics and lead regular business reviews covering financial performance, pipeline, adoption, retention, and audit outcomes; explain gaps and drive corrective action
Partner with Marketing on positioning to GRC and executive buyers, and with Enablement on messaging, demos, battlecards, and ROI narratives for compliance-driven sales cycles
Stay ahead of competitors' compliance and reporting offerings, pricing, and positioning; turn win/loss insight into differentiation and sales execution changes
Own adoption and value realization with Customer Success: accelerate time to first audit-ready report, deepen usage, and use churn analysis to improve retention and uncover expansion
Define and Deliver Compliance Mapping & Coverage
Partner with GRC/compliance stakeholders (customer CISOs, auditors, internal compliance advisors) to understand framework requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST CSF/800-53, FedRAMP/CMMC)
Map NodeZero attack findings and pentest results to compliance control requirements across all op types
Own the roadmap for framework coverage — prioritize which frameworks/controls to support based on customer segment and deal signal
Partner with Legal/Compliance to keep mappings current as frameworks version (e.g., PCI-DSS 4.0, NIST CSF 2.0)
Own the Reporting Experience
Own end-to-end design of engagement reports, executive summaries, and audit-ready evidence packages generated from NodeZero runs
Partner with design and engineering to build reporting templates that satisfy both technical (SOC analyst) and non-technical (auditor, board, CISO) audiences
Synthesize customer/field feedback (via CS, support, sales engineering) on report gaps blocking renewals, upsells, or audit sign-off
Track report usage/export metrics to prioritize the highest-leverage reporting gaps
Drive Compliance-Led Expansion
Partner with GTM to package compliance/reporting capability as a differentiator in competitive deals and renewals
Identify and scope new compliance-adjacent opportunities (e.g., continuous compliance monitoring, control drift detection) that extend NodeZero's CTEM story
Track adoption and expansion tied to compliance/reporting features to prove business impact
Travel Required
Preferred location: San Francisco Bay Area or New York City
Up to 15% travel required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related field
5+ years of startup PM experience with technical B2B products
3+ years working with compliance/GRC frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST, FedRAMP) — as a PM, auditor, or compliance-facing engineer/consultant
Experience building reporting or evidence-generation products for security, audit, or regulated industries
Technical aptitude — comfortable diving into pentest/security findings and translating them into audit-ready language
Analytics — advanced skills in data analysis using tools like Excel, SQL, BI, and ideally Python
Written communication — ability to use modern tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) to quickly and concisely write documents and emails
Bias towards action - default to action to drive impact quickly
Growth mindset - experience delaying judgement and being a quick study
Executive presence - experience working directly with executives to drive strategy and execute against success criteria
Verbal communication - demonstrated thoughtfulness of professional strengths, development areas, successes, failures, and goals
Hunger - demonstrated ambition to grow professionally
Servant leadership - demonstrated humility as a means of driving initiatives forward (instinctive "any problem is my problem to solve")
