Manages software development activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the design, development, documentation, and testing of software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Ensures software standards are met.

The chosen candidate will lead design, development and test of software products utilized in the development of four deliverable test stations. They will perform software engineering lifecycle, following the Software Development Plan (SDP), to include the requirements, analysis, unit test, integration and support to formal test and delivery and participate in technical reviews and audits of software products.

Candidate must have the ability to take ownership of software development activities and facilitate the application of agile methods. Will work in highly collaborative environment with frequent and direct interaction with peers and occasional customer interactions. Excellent ability to perform on a small highly skilled team in a dynamic environment. The preferred candidate must be able to multi-task, adapt to change, and possess deep organizational and communication skills.

Thiis role will be a mix of management activities, team guidance, and hands-on delivery of program artifacts spanning bare-metal microcontroller C products and National Instruments technologies.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

Demonstrated experience in informal or formal leadership of technical teams

Code development experience with industry standard programming languages such as Python, or C

Experience with Agile Software Development (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and Agile Process Tools (e.g. JIRA)

Final Secret Clearance needed to start with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance

Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

Familiar with Requirements Development and DOORS

Familiar with modeling tool such as Cameo or Rhapsody and software process a plus

Experience with hands on Hardware/Software integration

Proficiency with SW CM tools such as GitLab

Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Labview, Teststand or Labwindows/CVI

Knowledge of National Instruments products such as PXIe test and measurement platform

Knowledge of National Instruments programming platforms such as Lab Windows/CVI, Labview, and TestStand

Knowledge of RMS LMCore, LMStar or Standard Test Operations and Runtime Manager (STORM)

Basic electronics Skills: Ability to read/follow schematics, use a hand DMM, oscilloscope, logic analyze etc.

Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00
