About the job

Corporate Tax Manager - Alpharetta, GA - Hybrid

About the role You'll lead corporate tax provision and compliance work for a diverse portfolio of clients, managing end-to-end tax projects from planning through filing. You'll partner directly with clients and internal teams to deliver accurate, timely tax strategies and ensure compliance with federal and state requirements. This role combines technical tax expertise with client relationship management—you'll be the trusted advisor clients call when tax questions get complex.

What you'll own - Prepare and review corporate tax provisions, ensuring accurate financial statement reporting under ASC 740 - Manage tax compliance projects including federal, state, and local tax filings for corporate entities - Build and maintain client relationships by serving as the primary tax contact for assigned accounts - Oversee tax research and analysis on complex corporate tax issues, documenting conclusions and recommendations - Run OneSource workflows to organize tax data, track adjustments, and generate provision schedules - Mentor junior team members and review their work for quality and completeness

What we're looking for - You have 5–10 years of corporate tax experience, ideally at a CPA firm, in-house tax department, or similar environment - You've completed tax provision work and understand ASC 740 requirements and financial statement impact - You're proficient with OneSource software and comfortable learning new tax technology platforms - You hold a CPA license (or are actively pursuing one) and stay current with tax law changes - You communicate clearly with both technical tax professionals and non-tax business stakeholders - You're organized, detail-oriented, and can juggle multiple client deadlines without dropping the ball

Nice to have - Experience with multi-state or international tax issues - Familiarity with tax software beyond OneSource (such as Thomson Reuters or similar platforms) - Background in transaction tax or M&A tax work

What's in it for you - Competitive salary up to $150,000, based on experience and credentials - Flexible remote work arrangement with Boston office access when you need it - Clear path to senior manager or director roles as you grow your client portfolio and technical depth
