About the company

Our client is a Series A, West Coast BPO firm built on AI. They run complex back-office work for mid-market and enterprise clients. Think AP and AR, KYC and compliance, insurance claims and fraud review.

They also partner directly with BPO providers. Every client has its own rules, systems and exceptions, and this team helps them scale delivery anyway.

The founders are AI researchers with real academic and enterprise depth. Top tech investors and operators are behind them. They’re SOC 2 Type II and already clearing enterprise security reviews.

We’ll share the client name once we connect.

The opportunity

This is a brand new role. It’s well invested and it’s the first marketing hire.

There’s no CMO. There’s no marketing team. You’ll report to the CRO and build the marketing machine from scratch.

The work is heavy digital, brand and demand gen across mid-market and enterprise clients. You’ll own how this company shows up in the BPO space, and you’ll fill the pipeline.

It’s a short journey with high growth toward an event. Your work will be seen and it will count.

Once the machine is set and running, the plan is to add headcount.

If you love BPO marketing and love to build, this is a very smart move.

What you’ll do

Own positioning and messaging in the BPO market. Make the story clear for buyers and for BPO partners.

Build the brand from the ground up. Website, sales materials, case studies and thought leadership.

Stand up digital. Paid, SEO and AEO, email, LinkedIn, and a website that turns traffic into pipeline.

Build demand gen programs for mid-market and enterprise buyers. Pipeline is the number.

Run ABM plays with the CRO and sales on named enterprise accounts.

Pick and set up the martech stack. CRM, automation, attribution and reporting.

Run events and partner marketing with BPO providers and industry groups.

Use AI tools to move fast and stretch the budget.

Report on pipeline, CAC and revenue impact against the CRO’s targets.

Set the foundation for the team that comes next.

Must-haves

BPO marketing experience. This is a must, must, must. You’ve marketed inside a BPO, outsourcing or business process services firm, and you understand the space from marketing eyes.

Located in Pacific or Central time zones only.

10+ years of B2B marketing with real depth in digital, brand and demand gen.

A track record marketing to mid-market and enterprise buyers.

Strong positioning and branding chops.

You’ve built from zero before. You’re hands-on and don’t need a team to get it done.

Nice to have

AI, automation or tech-enabled services experience.

Marketing to finance ops, insurance or compliance buyers.

Partner or channel marketing with BPOs or systems integrators.

Time at a venture-backed company on a growth run.

Who does really well here

A hands-on, energized doer for sure. Someone who’s worked inside the BPO space and gets how these buyers think.

You like being first in. You’d rather build the plan and run it than wait for a team. You’re a thinker and a doer in equal measure, and you want your work tied straight to revenue.

Compensation

Target base of $225,000–$250,000, plus bonus and equity.
