This highly visible role will oversee a diverse portfolio of internal and external events, from large-scale company gatherings and trade shows to intimate executive dinners, curated client experiences, and VIP engagements. You'll be responsible for creating memorable, thoughtfully designed experiences that reflect Asurion's brand, support business objectives, and deliver exceptional results.
Reporting to the VP of Communications, you'll work closely with C-suite executives, business leaders, and cross-functional partners to bring events to life from concept through execution. You'll also lead and develop a team responsible for delivering high-quality experiences across the organization.
We're looking for a creative, highly organized, and detail-oriented leader who combines strategic thinking with exceptional execution. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality and experiences, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows how to make even the most complex events feel effortless.
What You’ll Do
· Lead the strategy, creative development, planning, and execution of a diverse portfolio of internal and external events, ensuring alignment with company priorities and business objectives.
· Design and deliver exceptional experiences ranging from large-scale global company events, leadership summits, and conferences to intimate executive gatherings, client dinners, and VIP experiences.
· Bring creativity and fresh thinking to event concepts, identifying unique venues, programming, entertainment, and personalized touches that elevate the attendee experience.
· Partner with senior executives and business leaders to understand event objectives, shape the experience, and ensure every detail supports the desired outcome.
· Establish a consistent standard of excellence across events while tailoring each experience to its audience, purpose, and setting.
· Serve as a trusted partner to C-suite executives on their events.
· Oversee all aspects of executive and VIP hospitality, including guest experience, protocol, personalized itineraries, and on-site coordination.
· Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when managing guests, sensitive information, and last-minute changes.
Event Operations & Execution
· Oversee end-to-end event production, including budgets, timelines, venue selection, vendor management, contracts, logistics, audiovisual production, and on-site execution.
· Manage complex, multi-day events and programs involving multiple stakeholders, locations, and workstreams.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with venues, hospitality partners, production agencies, and other external vendors to ensure exceptional service and value.
· Develop scalable event planning processes, tools, and standards that drive consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence.
· Manage event budgets responsibly, balancing creativity and premium experiences with financial discipline and measurable business value.
· Establish clear success measures and gather feedback to continuously improve event quality, attendee experience, and business impact.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
· Lead, coach, and develop a team of event professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
· Set clear priorities, manage resources, and ensure the team can effectively deliver multiple high-profile events simultaneously.
· Partner closely with Corporate Communications, Marketing, Sales, and other business functions to create cohesive experiences that support broader company goals.
· Serve as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders, helping determine the right event format, experience, and investment to achieve their objectives.
· Continuously identify opportunities to improve how the team operates, leveraging technology, AI, and new approaches to streamline planning and execution.
Who You Are
· Experienced events leader: 10+ years of experience in corporate events, experiential marketing, executive events, hospitality, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading complex, high-profile programs.
· Versatile event strategist: You have extensive experience delivering both large-scale events and intimate, highly curated experiences for internal and external audiences. You understand that each requires a different approach and level of personalization.
· Passionate about exceptional experiences: You have a strong eye for design, hospitality, and the details that turn a good event into an unforgettable one.
· Trusted executive partner: You're comfortable working directly with C-suite executives and senior leaders, navigating expectations, offering thoughtful recommendations, and operating with discretion and confidence.
· Obsessive about the details: You anticipate needs, think several steps ahead, and hold yourself and your team to an exceptionally high standard of quality and execution.
· Creative and resourceful: You bring fresh ideas, find thoughtful ways to elevate experiences, and know how to deliver exceptional results within budget and operational constraints.
· Proven people leader: You have experience managing and developing teams, setting clear expectations, and building a collaborative, high-performing culture.
· Strong business and financial acumen: You understand how events support business objectives and have experience managing significant budgets, negotiating contracts, and maximizing return on investment.
· Relationship-driven: You build strong partnerships with executives, colleagues, clients, and vendors and know how to bring people together to deliver outstanding results.
· Hands-on leader: You're as comfortable developing an overarching event strategy as you are walking a venue, reviewing a run of show, or managing the final details on-site.
