The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux admin to work with our dynamic team of IT professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud environments, an understanding of cloud services, and a strong Linux command line understanding. Looking for candidates with some variety of the skills listed below

Responsibilities:

Workstation and Server support:

Local Linux Desktop support

Remote Linux Server cloud-based server support

Support local and remote “Cloud-in-a-box” infrastructure (Nutanix)

Comfortable with hardware deployments and troubleshooting

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Manage and Maintain cloud-based resources (AWS)

IPA

Puppet

Ansible

Documentation

Network support:

Support troubleshooting efforts for our cloud base network infrastructure

Support/troubleshoot local network issues

Help configure network switches and settings for deployed hardware.

Qualifications:

Required:

Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or CISSP) – must have or willing to get within 1-2 months of starting.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

+/- 10 - 12 years of experience in server/desktop Linux system administration and network troubleshooting.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and methodologies

Willingness to learn new technologies

Desired:

Knowledge of Puppet, IPA, and Kubernetes

Juniper and/or Cisco Switch experience

Experience or understanding of “Cloud-in-a-Box” Solutions such as Nutanix

Experience with Proxmox

Experience with Ansible and scripting

Experience with Packer kickstarts and AMI creation yeah

Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies to support provisioning cloud and on-prem resources (Terraform, CloudFormation)

The proposed salary range for this position is: $105,100-$231,100
