Duties

Ally Bank seeks a Sr Engineer - Software Eng based out of our office in Charlotte, NC.

Establish and maintain cloud governance frameworks and best practices for AWS and Azure environments.

Design and architect scalable cloud solutions and applications.

Lead FinOps initiatives including cloud cost optimization, budget forecasting, chargeback/showback models, and Reserved Instances/Savings Plans management.

Implement compliance and security requirements in cloud environments.

Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.

Create and maintain architectural documentation and technical specifications.

Provide technical guidance on cloud architecture decisions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's (or foreign academic equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related or Three (3) years of experience in a related occupation

Skills:

Experience must include: 3 years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering plus 3 years exp with:

AWS (Amazon Web Services);

Microsoft Azure;

Python programming;

Java programming;

Node.js;

Terraform;

CI/CD tools and methodologies;

FinOps and cloud cost optimization;

Cloud governance and best practices; and

Designing and architecting cloud solutions and applications.

Other:

This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. This position does not require travel.
