Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization and play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and the timely completion of month-end close activities. This position offers broad exposure to general accounting functions and the opportunity to work closely with leadership and operational teams.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes

Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts

Analyze financial data and investigate account variances

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and internal reports

Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation processes

Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures

Collaborate with team members and management on accounting-related projects and initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

2+ years of accounting experience

Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close activities

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Experience with accounting software/ERP systems a plus
