Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our System Vice President, Revenue Cycle, you will serve as a high-level strategic leader tasked with driving the overall performance, financial health, and operational effectiveness of our healthcare revenue cycle. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial operations by developing and executing innovative strategies that optimize revenue capture, ensure rigorous regulatory compliance, and elevate the patient experience across the entire CommonSpirit system. This executive position is designed for a visionary leader capable of spearheading systemic change and aligning complex financial workflows with our core organizational mission.
Every day you will lead and mentor high-performing teams while cultivating essential relationships with internal stakeholders, including CFOs, physician advisors, and IT leadership, alongside external business partners and payers. Your daily focus will involve analyzing performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, troubleshooting intricate operational challenges, and implementing scalable solutions that increase financial value. You will act as a bridge between departments, educating and engaging diverse groups to ensure that revenue cycle strategies are seamlessly integrated into our daily business operations and long-term goals.
To be successful in this role, you will possess extensive expertise in healthcare finance, operations, and regulatory compliance, backed by a proven track record of executive leadership in a large-scale health system. We are looking for an exceptional communicator and relationship-builder who can navigate complex organizational dynamics and drive consensus among clinical and financial leaders. If you are a results-oriented professional with the strategic foresight to modernize revenue cycle processes and the leadership capability to inspire systemic excellence, we invite you to apply and help us shape the future of healthcare finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Change Management: Lead, motivate, and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to achieve common goals, drive large-scale organizational change, and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture.
Revenue Cycle Optimization: Direct end-to-end revenue cycle operations—from patient access to collections—by developing strategies, setting policies, and implementing process improvements to maximize net revenue.
Financial & Analytical Oversight: Analyze complex financial data and KPIs to build compelling business cases, resolve operational issues, and ensure all revenue cycle performance aligns with fiscal and legal requirements.
Vendor & Contract Governance: Manage outsourced service providers and vendor contracts, ensuring strict adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and establishing system-wide accountability.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership (SVP, CFOs, CMOs) and participate in internal/external committees to align revenue cycle goals with broader organizational objectives.
Operational Execution: Utilize advanced project management, EHR proficiency, and technical tools to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality, efficient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements Required:
Masters in Healthcare, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or closely related field or equivalent education/experience
Ten (10) years of experience in revenue cycle or related field
Seven (7) years of management experience
