This role requires unrestricted work authorization now and in the future, as visa sponsorship and sponsorship transfers are not available.
About this role:
The Vice President, Treasury is the executive owner of GreenSky's liquidity, funding, and bank-partner finance agenda, and the finance leader accountable for how cash is forecast, funded, moved, and controlled across a high-volume point-of-sale lending platform. The role combines the discipline of a treasury operator with the judgment of a capital markets and FP&A leader: setting funding and liquidity strategy, partnering with bank partners and capital providers, translating the plan into forecasts the executive team and board can act on, and keeping the control environment audit-ready.
This is a senior executive role for a proven finance leader who has run a multi-disciplinary team and is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. The VP serves as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive team, partners closely with Accounting, Compliance, Servicing, Legal, Technology, Credit, and banking partners, and leads a team of up to 10 that includes a Director of Treasury Operations & Controls, managers, and analysts. The scope is intentionally broad and is expected to grow with the business.
Growth and Development:
The Vice President, Treasury & Capital Markets sits at the center of GreenSky's cash, liquidity, funding, and control environment, with direct accountability to the CFO and regular exposure to the executive team, the board, investors, bank partners, and internal and external audit. The scope is designed to grow with the business, and this role is a path toward broader senior finance leadership. GreenSky supports professional development and executive leadership growth.
Duties & Responsibilities
Treasury strategy, liquidity, and capital markets
Set Treasury strategy and own the cash forecasting, liquidity management, and cash positioning framework for a platform supporting merchants, consumers, multiple bank partners, and investors
Advise the CFO and executive team on liquidity risk, counterparty and concentration risk, cost of funds, and the funding implications of new programs, products, merchant growth, and partner changes
Run scenario and stress analysis on liquidity, funding capacity, and loan volume so leadership can make decisions ahead of market or partner changes
Bank partner and banking relationships
Own the treasury relationship with GreenSky's bank partners, including program economics, settlement and remittance flows, reporting, service-level expectations, and oversight reviews
Lead negotiation of fee arrangements, account structures, and treasury services, and lead RFPs and onboarding of new banking, payment, and bank-partner capabilities
Serve as the senior finance point of contact for bank-partner and regulator oversight; ensure findings are remediated on schedule
Financial planning, forecasting, and performance
Own the integration between the operating plan, cash forecast, and funding plan so that volume, margin, and liquidity assumptions tie together
Oversee FP&A support for treasury and funding decisions, including unit economics, program profitability, and variance analysis against plan
Provide decision-ready reporting on liquidity, cash performance, funding capacity, and key risks to the executive team, the board, investors, and bank partners as required
Treasury operations oversight
Hold executive accountability for daily cash activity, ACH and wire execution, settlements, remittances, servicing reporting, and investor reporting
Establish payment approval standards, authorization structures, limits, and segregation of duties, and ensure they are consistently applied
Ensure reconciliations, exception management, and root-cause analysis are timely and complete; escalate and resolve significant operational issues with Accounting, Servicing, and bank partners
Controls, governance, and audit readiness
Own the Treasury control framework, including bank account governance, signers, entitlements, and account inventories, and sponsor the policies, SOPs, and control documentation that support SOX, internal audit, external audit, and compliance reviews
Serve as senior Treasury point of contact for internal audit, external auditors, and regulators
Drive standardization, automation, and reduction of manual touchpoints while preserving a strong control environment, including treasury management systems, bank connectivity, and AI-enabled reporting
Team leadership
Lead, develop, and set performance standards for a team of up to 10 across Treasury operations and controls, capital markets and funding, bank-partner finance, and FP&A support
Build succession depth, a culture of accuracy, accountability, and documentation, and clear career paths; hire and develop leaders who can own sub-functions
Required Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
15+ years of progressive experience across Treasury, Capital Markets, FP&A, Bank Partner or Banking Operations, or related finance functions, including senior leadership of a Treasury or comparable function
Prior experience at the Vice President level (or equivalent scope) leading a team of up to 10, including leading directors or managers and building a high-performing team
Demonstrated depth in at least two of the four disciplines (Treasury, FP&A, Capital Markets, Bank Partners) and working fluency in the others
Experience owning liquidity and cash forecasting, banking relationships, ACH, wires, settlement flows, reconciliations, and bank account governance at scale
Experience operating in SOX, audit-regulated, or highly controlled environments, including direct interaction with internal and external auditors
Proven ability to advise executive leadership and communicate with CFOs, boards, investors, bank partners, and regulators
Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CTP or CFA credential
Experience in fintech, consumer lending, point-of-sale or home-improvement finance, or another regulated financial-services environment, including bank-partner or marketplace lending models
Direct experience structuring, executing, or managing warehouse facilities, securitization, forward-flow, or loan sale programs, including rating agency or investor reporting
Experience leading treasury management system implementations or bank-connectivity improvements
Experience operating in a sponsor-owned or investor-backed environment, including board and lender reporting cadence
Experience using AI tools (Microsoft 365 Copilot preferred) to produce reporting, documentation, and other work artifacts
