About the job

RedCloud seeks a SharePoint Project Manager to support immediate client operations.

Location: United States ( Remote), PST working hours.

Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on SharePoint Project Manager to own the rebuild of a client’s internal SharePoint site from beginning to end. This person will take the project from the Business Requirements Brief through discovery, design, build, testing and launch, and will do the redesign and build work directly rather than handing it off. Working closely with business owners and stakeholders, they will deliver a site that matches the look, structure and functionality the business needs, on schedule and ready to hand over to site owners.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Review the Business Requirements Brief and formulate outstanding questions and inputs from business owners and internal stakeholders.

Schedule and lead the project kick-off with stakeholders; present the project plan, timeline, design approach and outstanding questions.

Lead discovery: audit the current site (content inventory, page and library usage, permissions, outdated or broken content) and capture stakeholders' desired look, functionality and user needs.

Translate requirements into a site architecture (site and hub structure, navigation, page hierarchy, metadata and content types) and wireframes or mockups for stakeholder review.

Vet the proposed architecture and design and solicit feedback, inputs and approval from the SMEs and business owners named in the Business Requirements Brief.

Build the site hands-on in SharePoint Online: configure pages, web parts, navigation, lists and libraries, metadata, search and branding/theming in line with client brand and accessibility standards.

Set up the permissions model and site governance with site owners, including ownership, content lifecycle and access requests.

Plan and execute content migration with content owners: decide what to keep, rewrite, archive or retire; move content; and fix links.

Manage the project timeline, inputs, reviews and approvals, and secure the collaboration of stakeholders and content owners to keep deliverables on pace, escalating to the FTE team when blockers need to be removed or expectations reset.

Coordinate user acceptance testing; track, prioritize and resolve feedback and defects; and secure stakeholder sign-off for go-live.

Manage launch: go-live cutover, redirects from the legacy site, and launch communications to site users.

Deliver handoff: site owner training, governance and content maintenance documentation, and a defined post-launch support period.

Run regular status meetings with stakeholders and report progress, risks, decisions and next steps.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building and launching SharePoint Online (modern) sites or intranets.

Excellent client voice and the ability to lead meetings of multiple stakeholders across agendas.

Demonstrated track record of owning a site build or redesign end to end, from requirements through go-live; examples or portfolio available on request.

Proficiency with modern SharePoint: communication and hub sites, pages and web parts, navigation, lists and libraries, metadata, and permissions.

Experience with information architecture and content migration.

Strong project management skills: building and managing timelines, running stakeholder reviews and securing approvals.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Office).

Proffered knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps or Viva Connections.

SharePoint customization experience, such as site templates, custom themes and JSON column or view formatting.

UX or visual design skills, including wireframing tools such as Figma.

Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).

Experience with change management and user adoption for intranet launches.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
