Cities hosting the most advertising, marketing & pr conferences
Question 1
Where are you right now?
Why we ask: a laid-off week and a thinking-about-a-move week look nothing alike. No résumé, no account.
Key facts
- #1 New York, NY: 9 conferences
- #2 Chicago, IL: 7 conferences
- #3 Washington, DC: 7 conferences
- 16 cities ranked in the United States
- Data as of November 2026
What stands out
- The lead is wide: New York (9 conferences) is well clear of Orlando at #10 (3 conferences).
- Cities with fewer than 2 conferences are not ranked, and small differences between neighbouring ranks are not meaningful.
Why this ranking matters
What it shows
Each industry holds its events in a few cities. Counting an industry's conferences by city shows where its people and employers meet.
How to use it
If you work in this industry, the top cities show where to go for events. Check the dates and whether a job-seeker rate or volunteer role is offered.

How this ranking works
A city's score is the number of conferences and trade shows in our events catalog held there from 30 days ago to twelve months ahead. Our catalog is built by research and covers U.S. business, professional and trade events with a public page; it is not every event.
An event counts for an industry or job family when its catalog entry names it; events listed for every industry are not counted in a single-industry or single-function list. Only cities with at least 2 conferences are ranked. "Top-rated events" are those the catalog rates in its highest tier.
Sample bar: cities with fewer than 2 jobs are not ranked.

Our job data covers professional roles on the career sites of employers we track, so figures describe that market, not every job. Spot an error? Tell us.
