About the job
About Wander
Wander is a technology and hospitality company building a better way to discover, book, and operate premium vacation rentals. Our business includes a curated consumer marketplace, a white-glove property management service, and WanderOS, our software platform for short-term-rental and hospitality operators.
Wander combines high-quality vacation homes, a strong guest experience, and technology that helps property managers grow their businesses. The marketplace brings travelers and premium inventory together, while WanderOS gives operators the tools to build their own direct-booking channel, strengthen their brand, and grow beyond traditional online travel agencies.
About WanderOS
WanderOS is an all-in-one direct-booking platform for short-term-rental and hospitality property managers. It connects to a property manager’s existing PMS and transforms their listings, photos, pricing, and availability into a branded, conversion-focused website and booking experience.
The platform combines PMS integrations, direct booking and checkout, integrated payments, analytics, automated guest marketing, promotional tools, SEO for Google and AI search platforms, and AI-powered distribution. WanderOS helps operators increase direct bookings, build repeat guest relationships, attract new homeowners, and reduce their dependence on OTAs without replacing their existing property management system.
This role will help grow the paid marketing engine supporting Wander and WanderOS as we make it easier for property managers to compete with larger hospitality brands and grow their businesses.
About the role
We’re hiring a data-driven, hands-on Performance Marketing Manager to work closely with our Director of Performance Marketing to assist with planning, launching, and optimizing customer acquisition across paid channels.
This is a hands-on, in-platform role. You’ll be in Ads Manager every day building campaigns, reading the data, and helping to iterate on the next round of creative. You’ll work across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging AI-surface channels like OpenAI Ads, marketing individual properties and portfolios to travelers who care about design, privacy, and the quality of the stay.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building channel strategy, analyzing performance data, testing creative, and most importantly getting into the technical details of execution.
One thing to know up front: we use AI strategically here at Wander. Claude and similar tools are part of how this team works every day — analyzing performance data, drafting and iterating creative, auditing tracking, building reporting, and moving faster than a team our size otherwise could. We’re looking for someone who already works this way, or is genuinely excited to.
What you'll own
Campaign strategy and execution
Launch and manage full-funnel paid campaigns primarily across Meta and Google, while also being comfortable managing additional channels like LinkedIn ads, TikTok ads, and OpenAI Ads
Assist with developing channel strategies aligned to acquisition, revenue, and efficiency goals
Be comfortable owning campaign structure, targeting, audience testing, bidding, budgets, and creative.
Oversee budget pacing and allocation across channels and properties
Run both acquisition and retargeting programs, and know which lever the funnel actually needs
Creative strategy
Brief, concept, and iterate on ad creative — static, video, and UGC — for properties where the imagery is the product
Partner with in-house creative team to keep a steady flow of new assets in market, and identify creative fatigue before performance drops
Support on writing ad copy when needed
Feeds and catalogs
Build and maintain property catalogs and feeds powering dynamic and travel-format ads
Hands-on experience setting up Meta catalog ads and building product sets in Ads Manager — you've done this yourself, not just briefed someone else to
Work with direct-booking sites as the primary conversion destination
Analysis and reporting
Report monthly on the metrics that matter: ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPC, CVR - alongside the booking metrics specific to our business: cost per booking and booking value
Be able to pull reports and analyze top performing creatives on a monthly basis to inform the creative team on what’s working.
Systems and process
Establish repeatable systems for campaign launches, optimization, experimentation, and reporting
Use AI tools to accelerate research, audience insight, creative iteration, reporting, analysis, and workflow automation
Stay current on platform updates, privacy changes, and new ad products, and translate them into what we should do differently
Partner with creative, product, analytics, engineering and other marketing stakeholders
What we're looking for
Required
2–3 years of hands-on paid social experience, with meaningful time as the person actually building and optimizing campaigns
Demonstrated fluency in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads; working proficiency in at least one of LinkedIn Ads or TikTok Ads
Comfortable working with tracking and attribution — Meta Pixel and Conversions API. You should be able to read a tracking setup, spot when the numbers don't look right, and work through why.
Strong understanding of campaign structure, audience targeting, bidding strategies, attribution, and conversion tracking
Creative strategy experience: you've briefed creative, run structured tests, and can articulate what makes an ad work beyond "it performed well"
Comfort with product feeds, catalogs, and dynamic ad formats
Meaningful budget ownership with accountability for efficiency, not just spend
Ability to translate performance data into clear recommendations and business actions
Strong project management and organizational skills — you'll be running many campaigns across many properties at once
Excellent communication — this is a remote role and you will be working cross functionally with other teams.
Comfort working in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities
Comfort and fluency with AI tools. We use Claude and similar tools daily across analysis, creative development, reporting, and QA. You don't need to be technical, but you should already be reaching for AI to move faster — and you should know where it helps and where it needs a human checking the output
Nice to have
Travel, hospitality, marketplace, or another high-consideration category
Premium or luxury brand experience, and an instinct for when performance tactics would cheapen a brand
