Layoffs, week of Aug 3 to Aug 9, 2026

Employers filed 75 WARN layoff notices dated that week, naming 7,544 workers, across 25 states. The week before had 88, so notices were down 13.

Counted by the date on each filing; a state can publish a notice later, so a week’s count can grow.
