About the job
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Full-Time | Utah First Credit Union | Salt Lake City, Utah
WHO YOU ARE
You bring the experience, judgment, and confidence to operate effectively alongside senior leadership. You anticipate needs, navigate complexity, and create order around competing priorities. You build effective processes, follow through on commitments, and understand when to act independently and when to engage the CEO. Just as important, you bring discretion, accountability, and integrity to every interaction. You are trusted with highly confidential information and represent the CEO and Utah First with professionalism and credibility.
The Executive Assistant serves as a trusted partner and extension of the CEO. This is more than a traditional administrative support role. The Executive Assistant helps protect the CEO's time and focus by serving as a thoughtful gatekeeper, managing access and competing priorities, anticipating needs, and ensuring important matters move forward. The role requires strong judgment, discretion, and the confidence to interact effectively with employees, executives, Board members, members, business partners, and other external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO.
The Executive Assistant also plays a key role in coordinating matters involving the Board of Directors, including scheduling and logistics, preparation and distribution of meeting materials, meeting minutes, follow-up items, and communications between the CEO, Board members, and leadership. In addition, the role manages complex calendars and executive schedules, correspondence and communications, and selected projects and strategic initiatives. Success requires exceptional organization and attention to detail, but equally important is the ability to understand priorities, exercise sound judgment, take ownership, and help the CEO and leadership team operate at their highest level in service to our employees, members, and communities.
WHAT YOU BRING
The ideal Executive Assistant brings significant experience supporting a CEO, senior executive, or executive leadership team. An associate's degree is preferred (bachelor's degree a plus) in English, communication, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, and demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive matters are essential. Experience working with a Board of Directors and financial institution experience are strongly preferred. Must be 18 years or older.
WHAT WE BRING
$85,000 to $95,000 annually depending on experience, with the potential to earn a quarterly bonus. Our full benefits package includes 20 days of PTO, 12 paid holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance, an on-site gym, a 401(k) with a 5% employer match, and a profit-sharing plan. We also offer 4 weeks of Paid Parental Leave for the birth of a child and 8 weeks of Paid Pregnancy-Related Medical Leave.
THE BIG PICTURE
Utah First has been in the business of saying yes since 1935, when a group of immigrants who couldn't get loans anywhere else decided to build something better than a bank. Today, we're a member-owned credit union obsessed with helping people with colorful credit histories, big dreams, and complicated lives find financial products that fit. We believe in making banking feel human and putting people over profits, and we count on every member of our team to make that happen. That's where you come in!
